The West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake is a well- protected area sheltered from the effects of the main body of water. We paddle into the West Thumb Geyser Basin area exploring the geothermal features on land and paddling over underwater geysers. Paddling 2 miles each way, we'll explore the rocky shores, catch glimpses of elk, moose, bear, and deer as they come down to the lake for a drink, and smile at the otters playing in our wake. All equipment, transportation, and lunch are provided. Yellowstone National Park never looks better than from the seat of a kayak!
